The Ambulatory Care Nursing (ACN) Program is made up of fourteen clinical areas that represent the management of over ninety subspecialty clinics including Hemodialysis, Endoscopy and Oncology Treatment areas.
This Ambulatory care facility is one of the largest in the world with over 500,000 patient encounters per year. A team of over 280 staff nurses manage clinics, coordinate complicated testing schedules, assess patient compliance and teach patients about their medical conditions in this area. Leadership is provided by Head Nurses in each of the clinic areas who together with clinical coordinators and support staff (including interpreters) make up another 100 staff members in this area.
The ORL Clinic is an Ambulatory Care unit providing care to both medical and surgical patients of all ages with Ear, Norse and Throat problems. In addition care is provided to patients with Skull base surgery, Cochlear Implantation, Head and Neck Oncology and VIP patients. They are fully equipped examination rooms, a Microscope room, a Conference room, Full Audiology Suites and a separate Audiology department and Speech Pathology department. This clinic serves approximately 800-1000 patients monthly.
The Audiology Clinic provides services to patients with hearing difficulties and provides screening, complex auditory assessments and monitoring of Cochlear implants. Monthly patients visits to this clinic are 800-1000
The Speech Therapy Clinic provides services to patients with language and speech difficulties. Monthly patients visits is 200-400.
