Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online degrees/diplomas are not accepted) , and
- Current Nursing (RN) license in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and
- Specialty qualification related to area of expertise required. Evidence must be provided, and
- Minimum of four years of current experience as a RN, including at least one year of current leadership experience in the specialty area, working in a mid- to large-size acute-care hospital setting in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.
Department Information
The Children Cancer Center and Research (also known as "CCC") at our client hospital is responsible for the delivery of care to children with a variety of oncology and hematological conditions, which include but are not limited to, solid tumors, leukemia, and lymphomas across six different units.
The Hospital is the only facility in the Kingdom, dedicated to the care of children with cancer. It is a stand alone facility and is located approximately thirty kilometers from the main hospital campus. Staff education and development is provided by Nursing Development and Saudization, located at the main hospital campus.
A team of 90 staff nurses and 41 management and support staff provide nursing care to this patient population across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The nursing units and their bed capacities/clinic activities are as follows :
- Inpatient Care Ward A, Sixteen (16) bed unit that provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients aged from birth to 14 years of age
- Inpatient Care Ward B, Twenty (20) bed unit that provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients aged from birth to 14 years of age
- Intensive Care Unit, Four (4) bed unit that provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients aged from birth to 14 years of age
- Outpatient Treatment Area, Fifteen (15) bed procedure and treatment area for pediatric hematology and oncology patients aged from birth to 14 years of age
- Drop in Clinic, Five (5) bed emergency area that provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients from birth to 14 years of age
- Dental Clinic, provides dental care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients aged from birth to 14 years of age
